When our daughter developed an interest in playing violin at the age of 10, we wanted to find a teacher who could nurture her interest and confidence in playing the instrument while at the same time holding her to high standards of musicianship.
We were delighted when we discovered Dexine. She is a very talented and dedicated teacher who has helped our daughter develop in all areas of playing. She was able to do so with great encouragement and sensitivity but without sacrificing the precision that classical violin playing demands.
We were very quickly impressed not only by how much enjoyment our daughter got out of the lessons but also by the increasingly beautiful sound of her playing. In retrospect, she practiced diligently not only because of her interest in the music but also because of how much interest Dexine took in her musical development. Our daughter wanted to do her best for her teacher. They still love getting together to play music.
It is clear that Dexine has a deep and infectious enthusiasm for music and a strong commitment to bringing out the best in her students. She has been a true mentor and friend of our daughter and we are truly appreciative of all her guidance and expertise.
