Although I have trained as a Suzuki Violin Teacher, I have found that there is never only one way to approach a child. My experiences as a teacher, mother and (most recently) grandmother, have taught me this. Music is a natural form of human expression and when any skill is broken down into small enough steps - in a way that suits each individual - a journey of learning can begin.
I believe absolutely in the core of what Dr. Suzuki taught: that “Every child can learn” and that “When love is deep, much can be accomplished”. I find that being fluid and flexible are the best ways to reach these goals. The way to tap into our deepest potentials is through respect, acceptance and love. I care not only about the musical development of each student, but also about the personal wellbeing.
Where love is deep, much can be accomplished.
